Supporting Scottish Tourism

The anti-jobs SNP-Green coalition will be bad for Scottish tourism.

The pandemic has hit Scottish tourism hard. Prior to the Covid crisis, the Scottish tourism sector supported 1 in 12, Scottish jobs – but the pandemic has hit the industry hard. Now, our tourism industry needs urgent support from the SNP Government to save livelihoods and rebuild our economy.

The SNP’s support for Scottish tourism has been paltry. The SNP-Green Government has pledged just £25 million to support an industry that is worth over £7 billion to the Scottish economy.

The Scottish Conservatives want to build an even stronger tourism industry in Scotland. We would expand Visit Scotland’s responsible tourism campaign to empower our farmers and rural communities to start benefiting from tourism in their areas. We would support tourism by improving transport links between Scotland’s main cities and across rural areas.

The SNP-Green coalition is anti-business and anti-jobs. Only the Scottish Conservatives are prepared to stand up for Scottish tourism against the anti-growth, nationalist coalition.
