The EU’s Common Fisheries Policy hurt Scottish fishing for decades. The SNP want to drag Scotland back into the hated CFP, instead of building a better future for Scottish fishing.

Fishing is part of Scotland’s identity. Fishing has delivered a secure livelihood for Scots in coastal communities for centuries.

Leaving the EU means we can rebuild Scotland’s fishing fleet. While there have been initial difficulties, now that we have left the EU and the CFP, there is a sea of opportunity to grasp in the future.

Investing in Scottish fishing. The UK Government is investing £100 million to modernise the sector and prepare it to take advantage of expanding catch quota.

Building a vibrant fishing sector. We need both of Scotland’s governments to work together to deliver a transformative sector deal for Scottish fishing.
