The SNP have failed to tackle rough sleeping.

Over 5,000 adults are sleeping rough at least once a year, and the homelessness death rate in Scotland is more than double that in England and Wales.

Scotland’s young people are being failed by the SNP’s inaction. The number of children living in temporary accommodation has reached its highest level since records began.

Despite bold promises, the SNP have failed to roll out Housing First schemes across Scotland. These schemes prioritise giving people a settled home so they can fully engage with other forms of support that are available. We would invest £10.8 million over the course of this Parliament to deliver a National Housing First Programme.

With the right determination, we can end rough sleeping by 2026. The Scottish Conservatives believe that by protecting and empowering the most vulnerable, we can create a fairer Scotland that works for all levels of society.
