Stop Sturgeon’s ScotRail Cuts

After years of delays, cancellations and strikes, ScotRail was nationalised by the SNP Government in April this year, with Nicola Sturgeon promising a bold new era of rail travel.

But just weeks after the rail service was brought into SNP hands, we’ve already hit a new low.

Scotland’s new ‘NatRail’ has slashed almost one in three train services.

The cuts have left rural communities disconnected and abandoned – with over 50% of trains cancelled to the Borders, and 40% to the Highlands.

Bars, restaurants and night-time events are facing another cruel blow as customers can’t get to and from venues.

And commuters who may have paid thousands of pounds for expensive season tickets have been let down, as the times of first and last services have been slashed across the country.

Not only that, but the SNP-Green Government – obsessed with taxing cars off the road – will have no hope of increasing public transport use and meeting green targets while it slashes services.

Yet despite Scots’ fury, the SNP is already trying to wriggle out of responsibility for the chaos on our railways.

Instead of taking control of this dire situation, Nicola Sturgeon is hiding behind ScotRail – a company her government fully owns – as an excuse for her failures.

Don’t let her get away with it.
