Russell Findlay and Andrew Bowie joined Kemi Badenoch in Aberdeen today to announce our plans to revitalise our North Sea industry.
The Conservatives will:
- End Labour’s ban on new oil & gas licences
- Reverse restrictions so we can promote and finance British energy exports abroad
- Refocus the North Sea Authority on one clear mission: maximising domestic production
- Unlock investment, protect skilled jobs, and strengthen Britain’s energy independence
Meanwhile, Labour and the SNP are strangling the industry with their ideological pursuit of Net Zero at any cost – blocking new licences, driving up imports, and dismantling an industry that supports up to 200,000 jobs.
And Reform want part-nationalisation, putting politicians in charge of oil and gas fields, taking us back to the 1970s when government-run industries were driven into the ground.
It is only the Conservative Party that is backing Britain’s North Sea industry.
