At a packed rally in Edinburgh, Russell Findlay and Kemi Badenoch urged pro-UK voters to back the Scottish Conservatives on their peach ballot, telling them it is their “secret weapon” to block an SNP majority.
While addressing activists, they warned that John Swinney will “relentlessly pursue” another divisive independence referendum if he wins the election outright on May 7.
Leader of the Opposition Kemi Badenoch argued that only Russell Findlay’s party can be trusted to stand up to the SNP’s attempts to break up the UK, adding that Reform “don’t give a monkeys about the Union”.
Findlay, who warned the Union was under “grave threat”, said that the Scottish Conservatives stopped an SNP majority in 2016, in 2021 – and if voters back us on the peach ballot we can do it again.
