CAMPAIGN: Dual the A96 from Aberdeen to Inverness
The SNP promised to dual the A96 from Aberdeen to Inverness in 2011.
13 years and 16 transport ministers later, they are now rowing back from that promise.
They have abandoned their pledge to make the route fully dual carriageway by 2030.
And instead of finally putting spades in the ground, they’re conducting yet another review to explore alternatives to dualling the 86 miles of road.
128 people have been killed or injured on the A96 since 2021.
Dualling the road is a matter of life and death.
Tell the SNP to stop delaying and start delivering the upgrades they promised.
