McLetchie: Dallas dream plot now not so far-fetched

13/05/2008

Commenting on the extraordinary scenes in the Garden Lobby this afternoon when Wendy Alexander left Duncan McNeil to flounder in front of Scotland’s national press, David McLetchie MSP, Scottish Conservative Chief Whip, said:

“The scriptwriters of Dallas must be proud that their storyline, initially thought to be too far-fetched, has now been adopted by a political party. Scottish Labour would have us believe that the last ten disastrous days never happened.

“Unfortunately for them, it has all been played out in full gaze of the public and the media. Every twist, every U-turn, every denial and every attempt to pass the buck is on record. What a shambles Labour has become, not fit for purpose and not fit to defend the Union.

“Whereas Pam woke up to find that Bobby was still alive, the same cannot now be said of Scottish Labour as a credible opposition in this Parliament.”
