YouGov poll – Scottish Conservatives set for gains

A YouGov poll of over 1400 Scots shows the Scottish Conservatives are set to make gains at next year's Holyrood elections, whereas the SNP and Scottish Lib Dems will lose MSPs.

Murdo Fraser MSP, Scottish Conservative Deputy Leader, said:

"This poll shows the Scottish Conservative vote is on the increase as we are projected to win extra seats, after being written off following the recent UK General Election. Scots are recognising that, north and south of the border, we are prepared to tackle the dire legacy of debt and deficit left by Labour, in order to secure the recovery. Unlike Iain Gray and Alex Salmond, we have not been carping from the sidelines.

"We have tackled the challenges Scotland faces head on, by finding three quarters of a billion pounds in savings, all of which will protect frontline services and jobs. The Scottish Conservatives are speaking for more and more of Scotland. We shall, in all we do, work for Scotland."
