Victim Support Scotland launch manifesto

John Lamont MSP, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Justice, today attended the launch of Victim Support Scotland's Manifesto for 2011-15.

Speaking afterwards, John Lamont MSP said:

"For too long now, ordinary people have had no faith in Scotland's justice system. The SNP Government wants to empty our jails and successive administrations have refused to scrap the discredited early release scheme. Bail is granted to almost anyone and everyone.

"Scotland's justice system must represent those who have been wronged, not the wrongdoers. I am delighted Victim Support Scotland has produced this manifesto and I will study it with great interest. Their voice is one of the most important voices in this whole debate."
