Urgent meeting needed to address Ninewells hygiene standards

A Healthcare Environment Inspectorate (HEI) spot-check has criticised Ninewells hospital in Dundee for failing to improve hygiene standards six months after an inspection raised concerns.

Murdo Fraser MSP, Scottish Conservative Health & Wellbeing Spokesperson, said:

"It is extremely disappointing that the Healthcare Environment Inspectorate has yet again found a number of failings at Ninewells Hospital regarding hygiene standards.

"Nicola Sturgeon must hold an urgent meeting with NHS Tayside to sort out the problems that persist at Ninewells Hospital. Our frontline staff are dedicated professionals who require available hygiene equipment at all times and Nicola Sturgeon needs to get a grip and sort out this mess."
