Union dinosaurs completely out of touch

The RMT today confirmed that there will be a 72-hour strike of their members at the West of Scotland Signalling Centre. The strikes, which are due to be held between the 24th and 27th of December will cause disruption to thousands of rail travellers.

Scottish Conservative Transport Spokesman Alex Johnstone MSP said:

"This is another ludicrous strike from the RMT that will severely disrupt the travel plans of thousands of Scots. Network Rail are entirely right to stop the inbuilt cronyism that the current employment structure creates, these positions should always go to the best person for the job, not the next person down.

"These union dinosaurs have completely lost touch with the public as they continue to cause so much dismay with strikes. When they are clearly on the wrong side of the argument in cases such as these, they will find that public opinion swiftly turns against them."
