SNP’s ludicrous claims can’t hide black hole over their own spending plans

The SNP's ludicrous claims about Scottish Conservative policies in the wake of today's CPPR report cannot hide the massive black hole in their own spending plans.

Derek Brownlee, Scottish Conservative Finance Spokesperson, said:

"Local Government would be better off under Scottish Conservative plans. Under the SNP, money would be taken away from Local Government every year - by 2014/15 over £500m - to pay for Alex Salmond's expensive promises under the guise of so-called 'efficiency savings'.

"That's why it's the SNP which has a black hole in its Council Tax plans - and unlike Local Income Tax, the SNP can't run to the courts to keep this one secret."
