SNP and Labour culpable in Megrahi release

A YouGov poll has shown that a majority of Scots believe that the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber was wrong.

Scottish Conservative Justice Spokesman John Lamont said:

"This poll clearly shows that the majority of Scots agree that the SNP made a bad decision, and that it was made badly.

"That the SNP even considered letting a mass murderer free is odious. He served less than two weeks for each one of his victims and has been allowed to live the final years of his life with his family and friends – something he denied his many victims.

"However, as we now know, Gordon Brown and the Labour Party were prepared to release him at practically any cost. As such, the Scottish public will not accept any mock indignation from Scottish Labour concerning his release."
