The Scottish Government Cabinet is meeting to discuss new anti-sectarian measures.
Annabel Goldie MSP, Scottish Conservative Leader, said:
"As I have said previously, the day when Scotland finally gets to grips with the scourge of bigotry is when the decent majority speaks out resoundingly and says 'not in our name' and 'enough is enough'.
"It is time for the many to silence the vile voices of the few.
"It is right that the Scottish Government looks to strengthen laws on hatred in our football grounds and on the internet. Whilst it is right to make progress, the priority must be to get the new laws right, not merely rushed.
"We will support to the end this campaign to rid Scotland of the vile disease that is sectarianism.
"To that end, I have spoken with the Home Office to discuss whether more can and should be done to clamp down on websites which allow the language of hate to be posted. That dialogue continues as we search every practical route to reach our goal of a Scotland which stands up as one against these odious bigots."
