Scottish Government weather action plan: Lessons learned must now be implemented

The Scottish Government has today announced an action plan to keep Scotland moving during the severe weather.

Jackson Carlaw MSP, Shadow Minister for Transport, said:

"At last we are seeing practical actions from the Scottish Government to meet the challenge of imminent severe weather. Scottish Conservatives welcome these measures in so far as they go but believe yet more reliable systems for informing the public of the prevailing facts are urgently required.

"Let us hope that these lessons learned are, unlike those recommended after last winter's big freeze, actually implemented."
