Scottish Conservatives welcome Amazon investment as huge boost for Edinburgh

Amazon has announced it will set up a customer services centre in Edinburgh, creating 500 permanent and 400 temporary jobs.

Gavin Brown, Scottish Conservative Economy Spokesperson and MSP for Lothians, said:

"Following on from the jobs that will be created in Dunfermline and Gourock, Amazon's announcement today is a huge boost for Edinburgh.

"Our capital city is a great place to do business and Amazon clearly recognises this. We will only get through these tough economic times if we grow the private sector to create the jobs of the future."
