Scottish Conservatives now actively targeting Lib Dem list votes

Following analysis of voting returns and canvassing across Scotland, Scottish Conservatives are now actively targeting Lib Dem list votes.

David McLetchie, Scottish Conservative Campaign Manager for the Scottish Parliament election, said:

"We know from the doorsteps of Scotland that people are warming to Annabel's message of Common Sense and telling it like it is.

"They know we have delivered for Scotland over the last 4 years and that we will be pivotal in the next parliament.

"It is also clear that the Lib Dems are in freefall with voters deserting them in droves. They are not buying Tavish Scott's pathetic attempt to pick fights with Nick Clegg and his party down south.

"What has been pleasing however is the number of Lib Dem voters who have warmed to Annabel and are now actively considering giving her their list vote because she is not afraid to speak the truth about what needs to be done in the national interest.

"We will be using the last ten days of the campaign to persuade them to do just that.

"Voters want somebody to keep their taxes low and protect them from the pie in the sky spendthrift policies of Labour and the SNP, and Annabel fits the bill perfectly.

"Every voter in every seat and in every region of Scotland can use their peach ballot paper to vote for more of that Common Sense from Annabel and the Scottish Conservatives on May 5th."
