Speaking after First Minister's Questions today, Gavin Brown MSP, Scottish Conservative Economy Spokesperson, said:
"At the weekend five top enterprise organisations joined together in calling for a business-led National Entrepreneurial Action Plan. This call came after yet another disappointing GEM report which highlighted that Scotland has significantly lower early-stage entrepreneurial activity than the rest of the UK.
"The suggested plan is an excellent idea and the Scottish Government should implement this without delay. I am calling on the Scottish Government to listen to Scotland's entrepreneurs and take action.
"The Action Plan must be set up and it must be directed by a respected business leader. Today the First Minister was too complacent. He said he would look at it but I believe we need a firm commitment now – there is no time to waste."
