Salmond feels the Steel

Lord Steel has made public his reasons for resigning as a member of the First minister's Advisory Panel on the Ministerial Code.

Scottish Conservative Deputy Leader, Murdo Fraser MSP said:

"This is an extraordinary broadside from Lord Steel.

"The First Minister is fond of shooting from the lip and living in a world where he believes that he is always right. This should serve as a wake-up call.

"When the referee walks off the pitch because he is fed up with the petulance and intemperate language of the team captain, the answer is not simply to appoint a new referee. Alex Salmond must pay attention and mend his ways."
