Release of new emails raises further questions about conduct of First Minister

Two new emails detailing an exchange between referendum expert Dr Matt Qvortrup and Alex Salmond's senior Special Adviser have been published today.

Commenting, Murdo Fraser said: "This just gets murkier and murkier. There are serious questions raised about the conduct of the First Minister's Special Adviser and the judgement of the Permanent Secretary.

"But the buck has to stop with Alex Salmond. He is the one who has created the culture of bullying and harrassing anyone who dares disagree publicly with the SNP. As we get closer to the independence referendum, we can all expect this behaviour to get much, much worse as the stakes get higher."
