Labour leadership candidate Ken Macintosh MSP has unveiled plans to scrap the Small Business Bonus Scheme.
Scottish Conservative Deputy Leader, Jackson Carlaw MSP said:
"Red Ken strikes again in another confusing and ever desperate grab for votes in the Labour leadership election. His proposals would abandon tens of thousands of businesses, many of whom are vital employers of young people and may be jeopardised by the removal of the assistance that the small business bonus provides.
"As Scotland battles an economic downturn that Mr. Macintosh's party helped to create and made worse - this idea is totally misplaced.
"That being said, we must all wish Mr. Macintosh well in the leadership election as there is no chance of a Labour party led by him and these policies ever being elected to Government."
