Not a Penny More
The SNP is scrapping plans to bring it's Independence Bill in front of the Scottish Parliament.
Scottish Conservative leader, Annabel Goldie says:
"Alex Salmond has squandered millions of pounds of taxpayers' money chasing a minority aspiration of his minority party. Now he is running scared. The SNP has abused public cash to run a 4 year long party political campaign. It would be outrageous if any more government money were to be spent promoting this doomed Bill.
"If Alex Salmond wants to make independence his priority instead of doing what he was elected to do and sorting out the dire legacy of Labour's debt, then not a penny more of public money should be spent.
"Let the SNP pay the price itself if it wants to pursue Salmond's folly any longer"
Ruth: "Our thoughts should now be with the families of the victims who died on that fateful day in December 1988."
