More Scottish Conservative MSPs = More Common Sense in the next parliament

In less than 48 hours Scotland goes to the polls – and in a parliament of minority parties, we need someone to stand up to the excesses of nationalism and socialism.

More Scottish Conservative MSPs means more common sense in the next Scottish Parliament.

Speaking from Eastwood, where she was joined by local candidate Jackson Carlaw, and where she signed her name to the 'Stop the Incinerator' pledge, Annabel Goldie, Scottish Conservative Leader, said:

"People in Scotland now have 48 hours to decide what they want from the next Scottish Parliament.

"They will decide the balance of the next parliament and decide what the balance of power and influence will be at Holyrood.

"No one party will have a majority. People don't have to vote for a party they don't like to stop another party they like even less. They can vote for what they want.

"Scottish politics needs somebody who will stand up to the excesses of nationalism and socialism. That somebody is me.

"We have a record of delivery in the past four years. Scottish Conservative pressure and Scottish Conservative votes have given us 1000 extra police, a four year council tax freeze, a £60million Town Centre Regeneration Fund, a national drugs strategy and over 10,000 jobs created for small business and construction.

"With more Scottish Conservative MSPs we can deliver even more common sense in the next parliament.

"Every voter in every seat in every region of Scotland can use the peach ballot paper to vote for me and more common sense politics on May 5th."
