Lib Dem tourism tax pledge: Wait until the election is over

According to radio reports, the Scottish Liberal Democrats have today suggested that tourism businesses could be given tax breaks to help them through winter.

Derek Brownlee MSP, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance & Sustainable Growth, said:

"The Lib Dems voted against cuts in business rates for tourism businesses delivered by the Scottish Conservatives throughout this Parliament.

"Scottish Conservatives have delivered help for thousands of tourism businesses already. Everyone knows the Lib Dems should not be judged on what they say before an election but what they do afterwards."
