Commenting on the launch of the 2011 Labour Manifesto, Scottish Conservative Campaign Manager for the Scottish Parliament election, David McLetchie said:
"One word was missing from the manifesto – sorry - for creating the financial mess and crisis facing our country.
"Labour's wage pledge might mean a pay rise for some, but it will mean a P45 for others.
"Labour's aspires to be the next government, but they can't even produce a comprehensive analysis of their spending commitments for the next 4 years. Uncosted and incredible.
"Iain Gray is unbelievable.
"He says he will freeze Council Tax – but repeatedly voted against a freeze.
"He says university can be free – but his spokesman had said a graduate contribution was "inevitable"
"He says he will keep the thousand extra police delivered by the Conservatives – but promised none 4 years ago and voted against the budgets which delivered them.
"This is a copycat somersaulting manifesto of uncosted wishes. It is, like Iain gray himself, unbelievable."
