Forecast blows even bigger hole in SNP’s finances

The Fraser of Allander Institute have downgraded their forecasts for economic growth and have said that the recovery in Scotland will be weaker than in the UK.

Scottish Conservative Finance Spokesman, Gavin Brown MSP, said:

"This forecast emphasises yet again how important it is that the Scottish Government produce a budget for the economy, and start matching rhetoric with reality.

"Their plan to raise income from business rates relies heavily on substantial economic growth. This forecast blows an even bigger hole in the SNP's finances."
