BBC show Waterloo Road is moving north and will be filmed in Scotland from next year.
Ruth Davidson MSP, Scottish Conservative Culture Spokesperson, said:
"I am glad that the BBC has made this move and speeded up the transfer of network programming to Scotland.
"This is a welcome boost to the industry here and a recognition that BBC Scotland at Pacific Quay in Glasgow has one of the country's first HD TV studios."
