Glasgow 2014 has announced the BBC as the Domestic Broadcast Rights Holder but has not disclosed how much they are paying for the rights.
Ruth Davidson, Scottish Conservative Culture Spokesperson and MSP for Glasgow, said:
"It is very important that these figures are made public and we know how much the BBC - funded by the taxpayer - is paying to show the Games. Like any other project, Glasgow 2014 must stay on budget and the business case relied on a large amount of money being secured via broadcasting income.
"The fact they are not disclosing the amount paid out is worrying. If, as we suspect, the BBC was the only bidder then it is possible they have secured the rights for a minimal fee, which in turn does great damage to the business case for Glasgow 2014.
"We need to know if the budget is still on track. Given that the project has been hit by other allegations of secrecy and cover up this week, it is best if the Organising Committee is open and transparent on this issue, in order to restore public confidence in the project."
