The Scottish Government has published a survey on transport use.
Shadow Transport Minister, Jackson Carlaw MSP says:
"The fact that fewer people are travelling as car passengers and that fewer school journeys are being made by foot or bike suggests that successive Scottish Governments have spent an awful lot of money persuading people to change their transport choices but have failed to achieve anything.
"For car sharing to work, it has to be proactively encouraged by measures such as allowing those who share to use bus and taxi lanes during the rush hour."
