Campbell Christie CBE

Campbell Christie has passed away at the age of 74.

Leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Annabel Goldie said:

"I am very sad to hear of the passing of Campbell Christie. He was not just an effective and doughty fighter within trade union circles; he was a very significant contributor to public life in Scotland.

"He brought this fortitude to his campaigning for further devolution for Scotland and his insistence that there should be a Scottish Parliament. My thoughts and condolences are with his wife Betty, his children and grandchildren."
