The University of Strathclyde's Fraser of Allander Institute has released its latest economic commentary.
Derek Brownlee MSP, Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Finance & Sustainable Growth, said:
"Scottish Conservatives have already put forward measures to help create jobs in Scotland – help for new businesses to take on staff and a boost for the construction sector. We will be putting forward plans at the election to reform our public services to place them on a sustainable platform, and to help businesses create new jobs across Scotland.
"The consequences of not tackling Labour's legacy of debt would be higher mortgage rates, more job losses and a spiral of economic decline. The Conservative-Lib Dem UK Government is doing its best to tackle a difficult set of circumstances inherited from Labour."
