BBC issues poll – Scottish Conservative priorities are Scotland's priorities

The BBC issues poll shows that Scottish Conservative priorities are Scotland's priorities.

David McLetchie, Scottish Conservative Campaign Manager for the Scottish Parliament election, said:

"Our priorities of lower taxes, more police and creating jobs are right in tune with Scotland's priorities.

"This poll shows Annabel Goldie's common sense approach and straight talking about the issues that matter is in tune with people in Scotland.

"If it had not been for the Scottish Conservatives, there would not be so many extra police making our communities safer. The SNP tried to get away with 500 but we forced them to deliver 1,000. We are committed to keeping them all.

"It is only because of Scottish Conservative votes that there has been a council tax freeze, and we want to extend it until at least 2013. We also want a £200 discount for our pensioner households.

"To help with cancer treatment, we want a £10m Cancer Drugs Fund, so people in Scotland can access the vital drugs currently available elsewhere but not in our own country.

"We will continue to take our message of common sense and delivery to doorsteps the length and breadth of Scotland."
