Stage 3 of the debate on the Offensive Behaviour and Threatening Communications at Football (Scotland) Bill is due to take place tomorrow.
Speaking ahead of the debate, Scottish Conservative Justice Spokesman David McLetchie MSP said:
"The Scottish Conservative Party has taken a constructive approach to improving this Bill.
"Various amendments tabled by me at stage two have all been rejected by the SNP Government.
"We will not support a bad law that is hard to enforce and does not command wide public acceptance. Scottish Conservatives will look at any initiative which aims to reduce the prevalence of sectarianism in our society but this legislation as it stands could do far more harm than good."
