Annabel’s final message – Use the peach ballot paper for Common Sense and delivery in the next parliament

Tomorrow Scotland goes to the polls – and a vote on the peach ballot paper for more Scottish Conservative MSPs means more common sense in the next Scottish Parliament.

Speaking from Edinburgh, where she was joined by Campaign Manager David McLetchie, and where she was photographed with a giant peach ballot paper, Annabel Goldie, Scottish Conservative Leader, said:

"The peach ballot paper will decide the balance of the next parliament. It will decide what the balance of power and influence will be.

"No one party will have a majority. People don't have to vote for a party they don't like to stop another party they like even less. They can vote for what they want.

"Scottish politics needs somebody who will stand up to the excesses of nationalism and socialism. That somebody is me.

"We have a record of delivery in the past four years. Scottish Conservative pressure and Scottish Conservative votes have given us 1000 extra police, a four year council tax freeze, a £60million Town Centre Regeneration Fund, a national drugs strategy and over 10,000 jobs created for small business and construction.

"Every voter has two votes - a constituency vote to elect their local MSP and a crucial regional vote on the peach ballot paper to decide who wields the balance of power and keeps Alex Salmond or Iain Gray in check. With more Scottish Conservative MSPs we can deliver even more common sense in the next parliament.

"Every voter in every seat in every region of Scotland can use the peach ballot paper to vote for me and more common sense politics on May 5th."
