Alex Salmond becoming a lone voice on Europe

Alex Salmond has written to the Prime Minister about the European veto.

Scottish Conservative leader, Ruth Davidson said:

"I have said it before, but it is worth repeating: Alex Salmond is on the wrong side of this argument and is quickly becoming a lone voice in his opposition to the Prime Minister's strong stance in standing up for all of Scotland and Britain's interests.

"Two thirds of Scots back David Cameron's stance. Instead of blustering about process, he should get behind our Prime Minister who was acting in the best interests of all of Scotland and Britain.

"Alex Salmond has seriously misjudged the mood in criticising the Prime Minister's use of the veto. It is a decision that safeguards more than 150,000 direct and indirect jobs in the financial sector in Scotland. Is Alex Salmond seriously complaining about that?

"Alex Salmond can wear as many fig leaves as he likes but his Euro embarrassment is still on show."
