Airport introduces £1 drop-off charge: Edinburgh’s reputation could be damaged

The £1 drop-off charge at Edinburgh Airport is introduced this week.

Gavin Brown, Scottish Conservative MSP for Lothians, who led the campaign against the charge, said:

"I think we will see real anger from passengers if they actually have to start paying a pound for a simple drop-off. It is just plain mean from the authorities at Edinburgh Airport.

"I understand that in Belfast it was relatively quiet beforehand, but there was an outcry when passengers had to start paying. This could damage the reputation of Edinburgh."
