Speaking today at the launch of the Scottish Conservative Manifesto for the British General Election, David Mundell MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, says:
If we want David Cameron to be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom then we all have a role to play.
Every vote, every constituency, every Conservative MP matters.
This manifesto is our positive case for government to the people of Scotland. It is our positive case for change. It is brimming with ideas. There is a coherent vision of a society where people are empowered instead of Big Government.
A vision for the economy and a clear plan to get the debt down.
A vision for business where people are encouraged to create wealth and create employment.
A vision on defence where our soldiers and their families are looked after properly.
A vision for our country where Britain attracts the best from abroad.
A vision for Scotland and Britain where our governments and our parliaments work together rather than against each other.
A vision for our public services where health is a priority and patients come first, not pen pushers.
A vision for education where children, teachers, parents come first, not politicians.
A vision for justice where victims come first, not criminals.
A vision for Britain were politics is cleaned up and trust is restored.
That is our vision. It is a progressive vision. It is a Conservative vision. It is vision for Scotland and for Britain.
I challenge anyone to say that this manifesto isn't bold, ambitious, forward looking, radical.
I challenge anyone who reads this blue book to say we don't have the ideas to change this country for the better.
We are making our case for government. It is a strong case. It is our case for a better future.
