Goldie calls for Labour to stop the dishonest campaigning

Labour's dirty campaign is aimed at scaring the most vulnerable people in our society. It must stop.

Annabel Goldie MSP, Scottish Conservative Leader says:

"I am stunned by the level to which the Labour party has stooped in this election. The leaflets Labour are handing out are deliberately designed to mislead and scare the most vulnerable people in society including the elderly, the low paid and families. Labour candidates are simply being dishonest and are not telling the truth about Conservative policies.

"The Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy is indulging in scaremongering on his own election literature - trying to terrify families into voting for Labour. This is the third time in as many days that his judgement has been called into question. He made the wrong call on the foul-mouthed rants of a Labour candidate, his literature is dishonest and now the press are reporting that a criminal has been involved in Mr Murphy's fundraising dinners.

"Mr Murphy must clean up his act and the Labour Party needs to do the same."
