“We the undersigned believe that the number of police in Scotland should increase by at least 1,000 additional officers.
“We call upon the SNP government in Scotland to fulfil its election promise to deliver an extra 1,000 new officers, taking the police complement from 16,200 to over 17,200, and to implement the decision of the Scottish Parliament as passed on 25th October 2007
“In addition, we believe that more officers should be in our communities, on patrol, deterring and detecting crime.”
