Campaign Manager – Angus Constituency

We are seeking to appoint a Campaign Manager who can help us develop our local campaign across the Angus constituency. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who thrives on an array of new challenges.

Political and campaigning priorities can change quickly, so you should be flexible and adaptable.  You should be able to make clear decisions in sometimes pressurised situations. You will be prepared to administer a wide range of duties and expect a varied work programme.

This position involves fostering existing and attracting new volunteers and therefore highly developed interpersonal skills are essential. In addition to developing our activist networks you should have excellent project management skills which should help to grow and enhance campaigning infrastructure structures. You will lead our voter contact programmes and assist with the development of the existing comprehensive fundraising programme. Marketing skills would be advantageous as you will develop and configure local campaign literature and enhance our online presence.

This role would suit someone who is near the start of their career or looking for a new and exciting challenge.

What you will be doing

Responsibilities will include:

  • Recruit volunteers and build campaign teams
  • Support an on-going voter contact programme, including phoning and door-to-door canvassing
  • Organise high-profile political meetings and events
  • Create a comprehensive fundraising programme
  • Produce local Party literature and building a delivery network
  • Maintain and expand a presence on multiple social media platforms
  • Ensure all Elections are well organised and the vote is maximised

  • Sympathetic to the aims and values of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party
  • A strong interest in current affairs
