Cllr Alistair Paisley
Alastair is Councillor for the new ward of Pentland Hills.
Alastair takes a very active interest in planning matters, having appeared at planning inquiries in both Curriehill and Muirwood to defend his area’s precious green belt from inappropriate housing developments. The protection of the environment and road maintenance are also high on Alastair’s priority list. Alastair is also involved with the active school boards in the area, and has frequent meetings with constituents on traffic and transport issues.
Alastair lives in Juniper Green with his wife Inez, and they are both well known in the community. He has four grandchildren who live locally and is a keen gardener, having produced crops to show at the Currie Horticultural Show. He is also a regular cyclist, and recently completed a cycle run to the Falkirk Wheel to support Currie Youth Club.
Cllr Paisley now sits on the planning committee and the licence board.
