The Westminster parliamentary constituency of Dumfries & Galloway stretches from Dumfries Burgh in the east to Stranraer and Cairnryan in the west. From Carsphairn in the north to the spectacular Solway coast. It includes parts of two constituencies in the Scottish Parliament – Galloway & Upper Nithsdale and Dumfries; and is entirely contained within the boundaries of Dumfries & Galloway Council at local authority level.
