Campaign for a “Fairshare” for Aberdeenshire
Aberdeenshire Council spends less on services than most other Councils and this is due to the Council receiving a low level of government grant from the Scottish Government.
In 2007/8 Aberdeenshire’s grant was 10.5% below the Scottish Average. It is accepted that we do not have the problems some areas have but at the same time our residents do deserve a “Fairshare”. Aberdeenshire is the worst off or all the rural Councils and this should be changed.
