Economic growth in the UK rose by one per cent last quarter, meaning the country is officially out of recession.
Commenting, Scottish Conservative finance spokesman Gavin Brown MSP said:
“The fact growth has returned and we are officially out of recession is hugely welcome.
“This comes on top of the news last week that unemployment across the whole UK is also decreasing.
“However, clearly there is a long way to go, and our economy faces daily challenges.
“We have to do everything in our power to promote growth, business and jobs.”
