Scottish Conservative response to same sex marriage announcement

Responding to an announcement by the SNP that it will press ahead with plans to introduce same-sex marriage in Scotland, a spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said:

“After weeks of confusion the SNP finally seems to be moving towards a position that was set out in its manifesto.

“Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson is on record supporting same sex marriage and has confirmed that, similar to other parties, MSPs will be given a free vote on the issue, if the SNP ever brings it to the chamber.”
