Andy Murray lost by three sets to one in the Wimbledon men’s final today.
Commenting, Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson MSP said:
“Andy Murray showed true Scottish spirit but sadly he came up against one of the all-time greats of world tennis.
“He did himself, his family and the nation proud.
“Let’s not forget he has still written himself into the history books by becoming the first British man in 74 years to reach a Wimbledon final.
“I’m sure he will be back next year hungrier than ever to break more records.”
