Panicked attempt to create a veneer of consensus amongst separatists

Yes Scotland – the campaign to separate Scotland from the United Kingdom – has made a number of appointments.

Blair Jenkins will be the group’s Chief Executive, while former Labour MP Dennis Canavan will be its chair.

Commenting, Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson MSP said:

“Alex Salmond cannot hide from the fact that there are deep divisions in his separatist camp.

“We have already seen the Greens and Margo MacDonald say that they are unable to be part of the Yes Scotland campaign because of Alex Salmond’s control freakery.

“Today’s announcement is a panicked attempt to create a veneer of consensus.”
